National Accreditation for Greenway Ward

Last year Greenway Ward were assessed by the Royal College of Psychiatry for Accreditation status and we are delighted to share that the ward was successful. Greenway Ward were presented with the certificate by our Director of Nursing and Operations Gill Green.

The accreditation was similar to a CQC inspection with analysis on all aspects of the care and compassion including looking at how welcoming the ward is and reviewing documentation such as care plans. The accreditation work was a collaborative effort by all the staff on the ward, Gill Drummond and the Matron at the Moorside Unit.

Barri Evans, Greenway and Bollin Ward Manager said "It has been a pleasure working in achieving this with such great hard working colleagues.
It was great to have Gill come to do the presentation today, and on the same day we had a carer’s event and a live band where cakes and refreshments were offered.  It was nice to see so many carers attend the event and patients and families engaging in a fun day."

Gill Green,
Director of Nursing and Operations said "I was delighted to present Barri and his team of Greenway with their Royal College accreditation. It is the result of a lot of hard work by a kind and compassionate team and thoroughly deserved."

Congratulations to all staff involved in this fantastic achievement!
