Next week is Clean Air Week 2019!
This year’s Clean Air Week celebrations are all coming together and we’re hoping to see many of you at the pop-up events across the Trust, or riding an electric bike at Prestwich on the big day.
The confirmed locations for the pop-up events are:
Monday 17 June – Moorside Unit, Trafford 11am – 1pm
Tuesday 18 June – Edenfield Centre, Prestwich 11am – 1pm
Wednesday 19 June – Woodlands Hospital, Salford 11am – 1pm
Thursday 20 June – Prestwich Site 10am – 3pm
Friday 21 June – Meadowbrook Unit, Salford 11am- 1pm
The events will be raising awareness of the problems caused by air pollution and offering simple ideas and solutions to improve air quality at work and at home. Included will be quizzes, cakes and coffee, a raffle to raise money for a Bee Saviour vending machine, air purifying plant seedlings and at Prestwich the chance to test ride a variety of bikes (traditional, e-bikes and e-cargo bikes) as well as a Dr Bike to check your own bike is in full working order and make recommendations about equipment and servicing.
We’re also planning on launching our champions network at the events inviting colleagues to sign up to be the leaders in their own work places encouraging positive behavior and feeding back on local issues or concerns. These heroes will be our Hive Collective and will be meeting soon.
So, whether you’re looking for themed cake and face painting, an electric bike ride, or a chance to become a Trust volunteer, join the Clean Air Celebrations next week and look out for more events to come.
