CAMHS staff awarded for outstanding contributions to care

Emma Williams and Max McGinn

Congratulations to Emma Williams, Clinical Psychologist, and Max McGinn, Registered Nurse, from our Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) who represented Junction 17 at the HOPE(S) practice celebration event on Friday, 28 February 2025, facilitated by the Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust.

During this wonderful event, Emma and Max were presented with awards from the HOPE(S) team for their exceptional work over the past year at Junction 17.

Max received a special recognition award for his exceptional person-centred care, while Emma was honoured with an award for her exemplary practice leadership.

The outstanding contributions of Emma and Max were recognised as being consistently displayed within their work.

What is HOPE(S)?

The HOPE(S) model is an ambitious, human rights-based approach to working with individuals in segregation, developed from research and clinical practice. This clinical model, created by the Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust, aims to reduce the use of long-term segregation often experienced by autistic adults, adults with a learning disability, and children and young people.
