Moorside unit

The Moorside unit holds adult and older adult  inpatient facilities and is located in Urmston in Trafford. We accept referrals from Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT) or via GMMH Liaison team based within A&E departments at Trafford General Hospital. The service users on the unit are either informal or sectioned. The staff on the unit offer service users and their carer’s information about mental health, recovery and the choices and resources available to them.

The Moorside unit is also the location for many of our consultant led outpatient clinics. Each team has various days and times allocated weekly for clinic appointments which will allow most people the scope to choose a convenient time to attend around their current commitments. Often patients prefer to bring somebody along to their appointment for support. If, on receipt of the confirmation letter, an appointment needs to be altered or cancelled for any reason, contact Reception by telephone and we will rearrange it to a more convenient date. The staff in Reception are also happy to help with any queries that arise during your visit.
