Research & Innovation is for everyone

Our mission is to ensure that every service user or member of staff, across all of our locations, has the opportunity to participate in and benefit from clinical research and innovation, for better outcomes and improving lives.

Meaningful research and innovation cannot be done in isolation. Whether you have on-the-ground knowledge, lived experience, clinical expertise, or academic skills, we want you to take part in, deliver and help design leading projects. This can be:

  • helping researchers design a study via a Patient-Public Involvement (PPI) Group
  • taking part in studies and accessing the latest treatments
  • learning about and sharing our news and findings, or
  • joining our team to start your own research journey.

We want our research to continue to make an impact, and to do this we need to ensure that we are looking at research areas that are important to our service users and communities and gives them every opportunity to get involved in taking part in, choosing topics for and helping design studies at GMMH.

There are many different ways to get involved in research...

By getting involved with R&I at GMMH, you’re not only shaping the future of mental health care in Greater Manchester. You could also make a difference to thousands of lives, seeing cutting-edge therapies and technologies first-hand and developing your own skills and understanding.

We have more than 40 studies that are actively seeking participants right now – why not take a look?
