Ensuring the Health and Wellbeing of our staff at GMMH is vital. We offer a diverse range of information, support and activities to support looking after yourself, supporting others or getting support when you need it. Some of our initiatives include wellbeing apps, counselling, financial support and much more.

We also have the Spiritual Care Hub based in Prestwich which has inclusive space for staff and visitors and provides for your spiritual needs through several activities

Recovery Academy

Our Recovery Academy provides over 250 free education courses and resources for people with mental health and substance misuse problems. Along with their families, carers and health care professionals.

Whether you are looking for an accredited qualification or want to look after your own mental health and wellbeing, the Recovery Academy has a range of resources to support you.

Continued Professional Development

We have a dedicated in-house CPD team who help to co-ordinate the delivery of CPD for our clinical staff. Whether you want to drop into a clinical skills lab, access training opportunities or subscribe to the quarterly newsletter, the team are here to support you!

Flexible Working

We support our staff to achieve a better work-life balance through flexible working options. We support many flexible working options including; part time, full time, compressed hours, annualised hours, term-time, job share, flexi-time and remote working!

Learning and Development

Mandatory role training is provided which is aligned to your job role, and will give you the skills to undertake your job competently and safely. The learning and development hub also offers helpful and informative sessions on topics such as NHS Pensions, Wellbeing, EDI and so much more.

A wide range of ‘skill booster’ eLearning modules are available to support you in your role and with your wellbeing.

Annual Leave

As a trust we offer you 27 days of annual leave plus bank holidays. This will rise to 29 days of annual leave after 5 years of service, and 33 days after 10 years of service. 

Pay Enhancements

  1. For roles which require it, we offer pay enhancements for evening work (8pm onwards), weekends and bank holidays. The percentage is determined by your banding which can be seen here:
