Preceptorship Quality Mark

National Preceptorship for Nursing Quality Mark

We have been awarded the National Preceptorship for Nursing Quality Mark for our Preceptorship Programme here at GMMH in April 2024. This demonstrates our commitment to supporting new registrants, and in making GMMH a great place to work.

The Quality Mark for Preceptorship assessed specific standards for Preceptorship.

  1. Current policy
  2. All new registrants (Registered Nurses, Nursing Associates, Return to Practice, International Nurses)
  3. Minimum length of 12 months
  4. Meetings between preceptor and preceptee
  5. Protected time for preceptor
  6. Protected time for preceptee
  7. Preceptorship lead in place
  8. Preceptor development programme
  9. Formal structured programme of learning
  10. Annual evaluation of programme
