We have a range of teams within Bolton who work in and around the community. Find out more about each team and available roles within them below.
Our service is well supported by: psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, support time and recovery workers, psychologists and occupational therapists. Bolton CMHT's have recently complemented the team’s skill-mix by adding additional professionals such as Advanced Clinical Practitioners, senior practitioner for complex cases, community pharmacist, mental health wellbeing practitioners and have recently recruited a trainee CBT practitioner for psychosis. We also have a dedicated admin team who are always happy to assist staff.

The Early Intervention in Psychosis Team (EIT) works with people who have experienced a first episode of psychosis. It is a multidisciplinary team supporting young people experiencing a first episode of psychosis. The team consists of staff from a variety of disciplines, including nursing, social work, occupational therapy, and psychology.
One of the key aims of the team is to reduce the duration of untreated psychosis. This is associated with worse outcomes in terms of total symptoms, overall functioning, positive symptoms, and quality of life.

We offer short-term post-diagnostic support and interventions to autistic individuals who are 18+ and do not have a diagnosed learning disability. The service provides a series of 1:1 appointments followed by the offer of a short-term group programme. We promote multidisciplinary working for complex case management and consultation support to other professionals and services working with Autistic individuals.
The ASC team consists of the following roles: Clinical Psychologist, Clinical Lead, Team-Leader, Assistant Practitioner, Support Worker and team admin, along with 2 Mental Health Practitioners. The MHP roles can be fulfilled by staff with a professional qualification in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Social Work, or a nurse of any discipline.

We work across Boltons Community Mental Health Teams, Early Intervention Team and Inpatient wards, completing physical health checks for service users with severe and enduring mental illness in community clinics or in their own home. Our aim is to improve the physical health outcomes for service users who have a diagnosis of severe mental illness.
The Physical Health team provides Electroconvulsive Therapy clinics, working alongside Royal Bolton Hospital to deliver ECT. This clinic takes referrals from Bolton, Wigan, Salford, Woodlands Hospital and Prestwich Hospital.
Our team includes RMNs, RNAs, Assistant Practitioners and admin support.

The Community Clozapine Initiation team provides a 7-day service, 9am – 9pm. In addition to Community Clozapine Initiation/Re-titration, we provide specialist advice and support to other teams/professionals.
We offer:
- Baseline Observations
- Support for Early Discharge from inpatient wards
- Management of Community Clozapine RED Results
- Support for Mental Health Liaison Teams – with the management of clozapine for patients admitted onto medical wards with acute hospital settings

We are a team of 8 Mental Health Practitioners working across 3 districts in Bolton supporting the Greater Manchester Integrated Care Partnership (GMICP). We work to support patients within a primary care setting.
Our team offers assessments and short-term interventions (12-16wk) to people in their own homes with the aim of improving mental health and wellbeing. We provide tailored information and education to support the needs of our service users in a non-judgemental and supportive environment.
