Message in a Bottle - Studio One exhibition

Message in a Bottle is a celebration of Studio One’s most recent Art and Wellbeing sessions that have been developed in order for service users to connect with others, take notice of their close environment and share their experiences.

The Exhibition of Hopes, Memories and Dreams takes place at St Andrew's Church, Brownley Road, Wythenshawe (M22 0DW) on Thursday 22 June from 1pm to 3pm.

This challenging and insightful range of work shows colourful textile memory swatches, miniature dream landscapes, watercolour paintings and photographs of imagined desert islands, carefully displayed as messages in their own bottles.

The theme has encouraged individuals at Studio One to examine the tradition of releasing messages in bottles into sea, where hopes and dreams, cries for help and greetings from one country to another have all been cast into the water for someone else to find.

Studio One is the south Manchester Centre for Creative Wellbeing - a city-wide service and part of Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Trust's Recovery Pathways.
