Autism Spectrum Disorder Diagnostic Service drop-in sessions
Our Adult Autism Diagnostic Service are launching a new monthly community drop-in session.
The drop-in sessions are for individuals awaiting assessment and diagnosed autistic people who are over the age of 16 from the Wigan and Leigh area.
The sessions provide a place for autistic people and people waiting for an assessment to meet and socialise with likeminded individuals, as well as experts by experience and staff from our Adult Autism Diagnostic Service.
People are welcome to attend the sessions with a friend, a relative or come alone.
There will be refreshments available and a talk about/from different services, including how to access them and how they may benefit autistic people and individuals waiting for an assessment. The talk at the first session will be from the Adult Autism Diagnostic Service.
People are welcome to come and just listen or ask questions, whichever is most comfortable for them.
As the drop-in is run by our Adult Autism Diagnostic Service, a member of the team will always be there to answer any questions or queries.
Location, time, and dates
Sessions will take place in the main room of the Family Welfare Centre in Leigh. The address is Adult Learning Centre, Walmesley Road, Leigh WN7 1XN.
All sessions are from 1-3pm.
