Update on the Appointment of Chief Executive

Since joining Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH) at the beginning of January, our new Chair, Tony Warne, has led the continued recruitment process for a new Chief Executive.

We have been working hard alongside a leading executive talent agency to find the very best candidates for the job. This approach has allowed us to widen our search, and carefully consider a large number of applications; and we are now pleased to announce that we will be holding interviews for the role on 22 February 2024.

On the day, group panels will include service users, governors, colleagues and some of our key external stakeholders to make sure that the final decision is right for all that our new leader will serve.

We have a complied a comprehensive profile of the skills, expertise, and characteristics that our Chief Executive should possess, built following feedback from our service users, carers, colleagues and stakeholders. We are confident that we are close to finding someone who meets this strong criteria, to effectively guide us through the next stages on our improvement journey.

We will provide an update as soon as possible following the interviews.
