Brief Solution Focussed Approaches

Solution Focused Brief Approaches (SFBA) are considered to be as 'bolt-ons' to other ways of working (compatible for example with CBT and Motivational Interviewing). In contrast to other 'problem-focused' interventions, SFBA work with clients to help them attain a problem-free vision of their future and by helping them use their own resources and strengths to find their own solutions. It is generally acknowledged that this approach need not be limited to therapy nor is it the exclusive domain of therapists trained in this area.

This one-day training programme is aimed at providing a broad overview of the history of SFBA, guiding principles, key elements of the SFBA approach and key practical steps needed to begin applying solution-focused informed approaches to working with clients.
