After a hiatus the GMMH Mental Health Nurse Research Unit is back with the monthly online Journal club.

 

We were excited to welcome Professor Karen M Wright from UCLan to our October Journal Club! They presented their paper “Exploring the Therapeutic Relationship in Nursing Theory and Practice”. The article covers the background and building blocks of the therapeutic relationship between the mental health nurse and the service user and how to optimise this. A new mnemonic is introduced in this article to aid with these skills.
